Anyone seen any 6mm Ironclads? I'd relly like to have ships in the same scale as my armies…

I think Irregular do a couple.

Thanks Dom. Wish I could find some pictures, I hate buying things sight-unseen…

Frankly Darby E, I'd suggest that you build them. Most ships of the ACW are really simple in design. Find some overhead plans and use a scanner to scale them. Cut and glue.

Ya, could do that. I do enjoy scrathcbuilding, as I do that ocacsionally at work (buildings, not ships!), but that could turn into a huge project… Perhpas I'll do a few, as well as some smaller boats like Timberclads or ferrys, and just get some 1/1200 scale minis for Ironclad combats.

Dear Darby,

Later this winter, TVAG will be releasing a 6mm line of Ironclads and other riverine and coastal craft for the ACW. This are card stock models, printed in full color, and of remarkable quality and detail--not to mention very affordable!

Designed by veteran sculptor/author/all round talented type Chris Ferree, these will eventually be supported by a set of rules specifically designed to allow the use of such craft in direct conjunction with 5/6mm figures on the same table top.

E-mail me off list and in a few days I should be able to send you some photo examples.

That sounds prety good TVAG. I've loads of cardstock stuff for various genres, why not ironclads too!

Thanks all.
