Hi I've never done this before, but Christmas is coming, and that means time at home, so does anyone fancy a battle by email ? Obviously we would need to agree which set of rules, how many troops and a table layout. We don't need the same scale figures as long as we both have the same numbers of troops to play the game through on our own table I would assume that on Turn one I do my move and then email my moves in writing plus a photo to my opponant. My opponant moves my troops on their table to match my move and then completes their move and sends me the results. I would assume that the moving player does all the dice throws that fall due in his 'half-turn'. I have WSS French and Maritime Powers based for Might and Reason and SYW Swedes and Prussians for Koenig-Krieg. Any takers ? Pete |

Guthroth, YOu may be interested in Umpiring a PBEM game using your own forces, and 2 outside players making the moves -- or 1 or more outside players playing 1 of your Armies vs. you (the umpire) controlling the other side. I have done this a few times with quite fun results, and I even built a little website/tool to help me administer the game and allow the players to access info and pics of the game set up, all in one place. If you are interested, you can check out : chtechnical.com/skirmish I have done a couple of battle reports here after using this system as well.. (WWII Skirmish)
I'd be glad to tell you more about it if you think you may be interested in this approach

You can also find random dice rollers on the net to keep things on the up and up, even though we are all gentlemen. hamete.org/dserver/dices link |

Thanks for the on-line dice rollers. I'm still looking for someone to play against though. Pete |

I have the Might and Reason rules but not enough figs to field both forces. if you do not mind paper top-down figs for my side I could take some photos and play. Send me an email. I could also send you a pdf of the top-down paper figs if you wanted to use them as well. Want to do a generic points battle or historic scenario from the web-site I have done warburg french vs. hanovarians before not a bad scenario. |

Gentlemen, Please let us know how this works out . . . I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would enjoy watching what happens. -- Jeff

A very interesting prospect. Two members of the 'Emperor vs Elector' fellowship are currently playing a battle by e-mail, though with a slightly different approach: link |
