Der Alte Fritz | 09 Dec 2008 7:47 p.m. PST |
I have posted a pictorial account of the kleine krieg battle of light infantry and cavalry that we fought over snowy winter terrain this past weekend. altefritz.blogspot.com The buildings and terrain pieces (woods, frozen rivers and road sections) were made by Herb Gundt of H.G. Walls. The ground cloth is white felt that I spray painted with grey primer in a light random pattern to break up the whiteness. Then I scattered a bit of Woodland Scenics snow flock to finish the effect. |

I couldn't bring myself to base any of my guys in snow.. even though it looks awesome. What we need is some wargaming company to invent a spray on snow that dissolves after a while leaving no trace!! Battle looks really nice too DAF.. hope to get there one day. TW |

Very nice. I was wondering whether a fine scattering of flour on the bases themselves would come off again? |

the best scatter would be bicarb or salt I have used it on 20mm ww2 stuff with good effect |

Thanks for the tip, bluewillow. I guess flour, though finer than salt, would be too difficult to shake off; I'll try salt. |
