Hubby has bought some of the 10mm dungeon stuff from Pendraken. I was plotting on buying him miniatures for it for Christmas.. so finding monsters is easy. But where's a good place to get hero figures from? I could pick up a load of pendraken packs of men/dwarves/barbarians etc, but they come in 10s and he's not going to need that many figures the same. I know copplestone does a pack of the heros from LotR. Does anyone else do any 10 or even 15mm hero packs? |

Copplestone's are the best but you can also try the Warmaster Command blisters from GW. All of them are great, dwarves, high elves, imperials
Besides, you can get them at half price in ebay

BTW, I recently had an incident with the Pendraken dungeon set. It's resin is rather flexible and if you don't store the pieces of the dungeon flat they'll will bend and twist. |

Here is my 10mm mini dungeon. I just did a few simple conversions and made my own hero minis. link |

Kallistra do command packs in their Hordes & Heroes range. kallistra.co.uk The Hallagor one includes wizards on foot and mounted although the mounted ones won't be much use to you. If all else fails PM me and I'll send you one. |

@mrwigglesworth, I love your dungeon! Would you tell me which colours did you use for the floor and walls, and how did you paint them? TIA Here's a link with some pics of my 10mm guys, scroll down to the bottom: link You can see many more pics in my blog: javieratwar.blogspot.com |

Kallistra are more 15mm than 10 mm. Here you have a pic comparing scales between Pendraken and Kallistra: link |

Katie as others have suggested if you buy the command packs from the various ranges you will be able to use most of them as characters. Also as suggested the copplestone character sets are ideal. Oh and I'd love to see pictures when you get it painted up. @blacksmith, the Kallistra and pendraken miniatures are actually the same (in most cases) the thing to look out for is that Pendraken's historical ranges tend to be true 10mm where as the fantasy stuff is slightly bigger. |

They certainly are, "heroic 10mm" anyone |

Good to know it, thanks Mr Germy :) |

Blacksmith, are those figs in your battle mostly the Copplestone figs? If so how hard were they to separate? |

One more question
How big is the base that you used? |

Pendraken actually has some individual hero packs that are perfect. example: FA8 Amazon Heroine (1) FB4 Barbarian Chieftan (1) FT3 Troll Leader (1) FE10 Wood Elves Hero (1) FDE10 Dark Elves Hero FHE11 High Elves Hero (1) AC25 Ogre with Club AC19 Wizard FTL17 Tribal Lizardman Hero FU26 Undead Hero (1) There are more, you'll have to dig for. With the price of the packs though it shouldn't hurt too bad to buy a pack of 10 for some of the races? Rabbit |

Landorl, I'm using 1.5 mm plywood bases with magnetic base bottoms from Litko: link Copplestone's archers come already separate and its orcs almost as separate; it was really easy to separate them and I didn't lose any of them during the process. There are some orcs from Warmaster as well which were very difficult to separate. I usually lose two from five, two for row, when separating them. Then you have command figures and cavalry and monsters like trolls that come all of them separate. |

I like the 10mm from Irregulars, but they are definitely "true" 10mm and wouldn't mix too well with Pendraken or GW. That said, as much as I hate to admit it, GW ranges for Warmaster haze some great sculpt in the command/character sets |
