Just out of curiosity really. Seems to be quite a lot of people who've served in the past and it's always interesting hearing their stories, especially from a wargaming perspective.

US Army. Vietnam, 1970-1971. To this day I have mixed feelings about it. I avoid games having to do with it, either in miniature or PC/Xbox. I'm a lot more in a comfort zone with ancient times or the 18th Century.

I think this has been a poll once or twice.

US Air Force, 168 ARW at Eielson AFB, here in Alaska. Joined in summer of 96, got out in 2000. It was a good experience, I'm glad I did it, but I'm glad I got out, too. Never saw anything other than beaurocracy.
