Hi to everybody I bought on ebay some 28mm WF FPW 1870 Prussian cavalry to complete my wargame army..many are without horses and i'll like to provide mounts for the riders. I've some examples in the form of spare WF horses that i bought years before but they are not in sufficient quantity for my needs. As i saw in WF web catalogue images and in other books (Funcken) they are 3 types of horses: Ulans/dragoons, Hussars, Cuirasiers
differentiated above all by their shabraques..so to complete my units the only solutions could be to buy them on the ebay market (with a lot of luck), buy them directly from WF (with expensive ammount of usless riders surplus), modify similar spare horses that i own like the Napoleonic or Risorgimento ones by Mirliton ecc..OR.. i saw that Castaways Australia sell some horse specific types for this capaing but they are all of the very same basic type with dull/square shabraque/coat
.the same for the all 3 types!!..is it possible?,,could i use a simple horse type maybe in a sort of campaign type equipment similar to more modern cavalries (colonial ecc
) in order to save buying other specific 879 Prussian horses? thanks in advance for your much appreciated suggestions |
