Hi all,

it has been quiet with me a bit due to very busy work schedule but I have been able to squeez in some painting time.

I have just finished some Perry ACW Rebel command figures. I tried for the very first time to paint the eyes and the skin on the beginning but now realised that I find the eyes a bit big.

Not too happy about the faces in general either. Always had big problems with the eyes (BIG pain ) but have to see if I can find another, more satisfactory, way with the next batch.

Tried to go as well for a more realistic look for the Uniforms and used therefore mostly Vallejo and various layers.

Well, here they are anyway.

I still hope you like them

With kind regards

Sascha

Excellent work! The eyes are a little big on some of the figures, but they still look great! My hat is off to you!

You forgot the little "twinkle" in the eye. Very nice, relects great credit upon yourself. I started humming "Dixie" when I saw those.

Lovely figures. Especially liked the basing for some strange reason. What did you use for the tall grass (Silfor?)

Fine work!

Fantastic. They look like oil paintings.

Good job! I agree with you the eyes are a little bit too big though. Anyway the overall impression is excellent!

Congrats!

the eyes are a little big, but certainly better than anything I could do. Overall, excellent job!

I would also like to know what was used to make the excellent long grass?

Keep in mind that the pictures we are seeing enlarge the view to about 4x or 5x the actual size of the figure. Thus everything is exagerated somewhat. My guess is that the eyes look just fine when you look at the figure in situ.
