Outstanding. 15MM scale? Probably stated but I didn't catch it. My kind of guy.. Napoleonic wargamer, fast cars, Republican. I was amused. |

Beautiful layout and armies! We played a similar game with Russians on Saturday. They're very detailed if they are 15mm! Artorius, What brand of figs? |

David, thanks for the AAR. Very nicely done. How was the terrain constructed? David's first sentence in the AAR states that they are 15mm figures and I recognize many Old Glory figures. I agree that the buildings are 6mm because I use the same buildings in my 15mm Napoleonic games. Jon |

Nice report. You said at the end how good it was to play NB again. That was my experience a couple of months back. I once owned not one but two copies of NB. I sold them both because we eventually stopped playing Napoleonics due to time constraints and the fact that all of my grognard friends moved away. I played NB at Fall-In and it reminded me of how fun NB is. I bought it again on eBay for about $20. USD I'll never make the mistake of parting with it again. Thanks for the photos and report. Nicely done. John |

Yes I can recognise those Old Glory Austrians too. I have painted hundreds of them. Excellent report Artorius! Thank you for the inspiration! |

Impressive terrain. Do you paint it on cloth? Can it be altered? |

The figures are a mixture of all brands in 15mm: Old Glory, Essex, Minifigs, Fantassin, North Star, and probably a few others. I have to confess that none of the figures are mine. I started painting Nappies back in the early 90s and my eyes crossed. I eventually sold the few units I had painted. I'm just lucky that I game with people who have tons of Napoleonic figures. John Kennedy, owner of the store where we played, created the game mat from a 6' x 8' piece of green felt. He used an airbrush to create the fields, roads, river, etc. He's done several mats like this. He buys the felt in bolts and creates mats for the battles we play. He's done several for WW2. The buildings are 6mm, mostly old Battlefront models. Battlefront, the guys who do Flames of War, started out modestly--and with a different owner. The 6mm buildings was a line that went away a long time ago. |

Very Nice again 15mm??, we use 10mm and are doing Borodino soon each stand 80mm by 40mm of 60 figs to each bde. lots of figures looks great for the big battles. |

Never seen 6mm buildings with 15mm figs before
but it kinda works. I guess you have to remember that ground scale is based on the figure bases rather than the figures themselves. Thanks for sharing |

Our group also went to the 6mm buildings look for 15mm Napoleon's Battles and I really like it. picture It is a great way of reminding us at a glance that it is a village that we're fighting for with a brigade rather than a battalion going after a house. Cheap, I use the paper-terrain cardstock houses permanently affixed to bases that are NB 'village-sized' |

A great game, a few years ago, 95 I think, we played it in Germany over two days. However the French commander on day one could not make day 2, poor planning, so before he left he rolled the overnight bridge dice and left the result somewhere obvious. The next day we could not find it, so Napoleon part 2 rolled another dice. The bridges were down! There followed an Austrian hard won victory. The next games night Napoleon I came back and there was the dice he had thrown, the bridges stayed up! Tally Ho! |
