I am looking to build a big Circus Maximus and have been trying to find any company that manufactures 25mm/28mm 4 horse chariots. Does anyone know of one?

Thanks

Amazon Miniatures have a specific Circus Maximus chariot.

In my 8 chariot stable, I used those, plus:
Hinchliffe "4-horse Barbarian chariot" (Hittite, really)
Ral Partha "Syrian" chariot, with extra horses
Ral Partha "Hyksos" chariot, with extra horses

For drivers, I used RP anhd RAFM "Illyrian javelinmen". Both companies' Illyrians have very short tunics, and the hands are in a whipping pose. For the RP Illyrians, though, I had to cut and whittle the shield away.
I like them because the helmets are rather exotic, and vaguely Hellenistic.

Steve Barber Models is the only one I can think of that makes an accurate racing quadriga:

…along with drivers being dragged, and in extremis.

If Amazon's is correct, I can't say; it's not illustrated:

That of course is if you want to do the real deal:

If you want to do some Hollywood or fantasy thing, or what passes for "Circvs Maximvs" games among the gaming world's hoi polloi, using war chariots, it's more of a case of who *doesn't* make them.

Ooooh, I'll have to get some Steve Barber ones…

The Amazon one is more of a Ben-Hur type SUV. The rails come up past the navel, and have solid walls.

I used the RP and Hinchliffe ones because they looked more Ben-Hur type than others.

Are you going to play the old Avalon Hill "Circus Maximus" game?

Thanks alot to all. I will definitely check out all suggested.

At this stage I am, I have just about finished laying out the old board game on thin ply and then I will paint it and build the Circus around it. Although I have seen a number of other rules that don't use a grid like CM. I just have great memories of long long gaming nights ( weekends) racing chariots using AH's Circus Maximus.
