Gentlemen,
On the blog Campaigns of General Pettygree at:
generalpettygree.blogspot.com
-------
brand NEW "Chapter 5: The Relief Column" appears with 22 images and captions. If a picture is worth one thousand words, as the saying goes, you have 22,000 words that will take you less than 3-6 miniutes to digest unless you wish to linger and enlarge photos by clicking on them.
-------------
Thank you for your remarks here and on the blog.
Kind Regards,
Bill

Very nicely done. I'm guessing that the shots with the rounded black edging are from some variety of line-of-sight periscope, used to get a better photo where space doesn't permit?

Splendid work, sir!

Sincerely hope the General and his column arrive in good order and time to join battle with these damnable Tugs, what? I shall write a strong letter to the The Times else.

Personally, I won't believe a word of it until its printed in the Times. Good day to you, sirrah!

Thank you for your kind and enthusiastic remarks Gentlemen,
------
For Robin Bobcat:
The rounded edges are the edges of the interior of The Main Gate through which the camera is looking.
------
It is unknown to me if The Relief Column will arrive in time to matter – one way or another.
------
The Times? Yes indeed, The Times.
------
Chapter 6 commenced with miniatures last night. Photos and captions will appear on the blog as promised there in about two weeks.
------
Cheerio,
Bill

Well I'm old Toad Face and I'm a thug.
I got a bald head don't wear a rug.
I'm practiced in the fine art of thugee.
I've got a yellow scarf for Pettygree.
Runnin' down a street, hidin' in an alley.
Thugees in the hills can I get a Kali!

Well I'm layin' down my thugee rap
while for Pettygree I spring a trap.
One will bring three and three will bring more.
I'm known from Calcutta to Lahore.
Waitin' in the hills for troops down the valley.
Thugees in the hills can I get a Kali!

Ade de Camp Forsythe-Binghampton III: "General, do you hear that?"
---
Gen. Pettygree: "Aye, laddy, I do. The hills are alive with the sound of music."
---
My tres cher ami ancien, Cyrus, if I can work in your lyrics, may I? Plus we must talk off line about all this soon on the astounding electric voice transmitter machine.
Cheerio,
BP

I'm enjoying the story so far.

On Saturday I shall make an appearance on the grounds where descendants of the Children of the Sun engage in the ritual kicking of a small ball of rubber into nets to the ululations of the crowd. See you there!

ge: Ahh, that makes sense, though I've seen folks use the 'line of sight' periscopes for figure-level photographs, too. Particulrly where terrain or placement of minis would impede quality photography.
