I am looking for some robotic bugs that are spider-like. Even if they are equipped with guns or other weapons. 25-28mm. It is for a superhero game. I'd prefer something pre-painted, to be honest. I would even try paper minis. I have looked at a few but none seem to have robotic bugs. As a last resort, I'll probably pick up some D&D spiders to tide me over
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! |

Check the Crab Droid from the Star Wars miniatures line, it's prepainted, bug-like, and person-sized. You can probably find them on eBay, or various other resellers (Gamerocket, Auggie's, etc.) link |

AT-43 has Golgoths which have six and the Baal which has 8 legs, Infinity has their recon drones which have legs – several factions field them. All have sensor arrays and guns or the like. Check them out. |

The next DND minis set has two Kruthik minis, that might fit the bill, one a common, one an uncommon. Sheck them out here: link Release is November 18. |

Jovian1 16 Oct 2008 3:59 p.m. PST: "AT-43 has Golgoths which have six and the Baal which has 8 legs" Err
Frankly, this is just not correct as per the legs I'm afraid. The Therian Golgoths are bug- or crablike to an extent, but big as heck, and carry a ton of gus each (aside of the smallest, tripedal one). Which might or might not be a good thing of course. There's supposed to be smaller Therian suicide spiderbots coming out soonish but I'm not sure when. Anyway. Have just one suggestion to add: Legions of Steel has a scorpion robot which is very nice, tho I'm not sure if Amazon Miniatures has the mold for a complete model (it's listed as "scorpion body") link |
