Subject: Douglas A-20 Manufacture: Armaments in Miniature armamentsinminiature.com Scale: 1/100 Medium: Resin Price: $20 USD Available at and after Fall In (Nov 7, 08) The kit consists of a one piece fuselage/wing/tail assembly and several resin detail parts (choice of rear gun, gun tray, turret, air cleaners, etc
picture available in link below). This is another fine AIM kit that required minimal clean up and went together well. Parts provided in the kit enable one to finish the model to represent aircraft flown by the US, British, Australians, French, and Soviets. The biggest problem I had was figuring out how I wanted to finish the kit! Recommendation: Highly recommend Post assembly: Decals: I-94 Enterprises (name), Eagle Strike (stars), Fighting Pirannha (nose art), Wargames (serial number on tail) Paint: Vallejo Model Colors Primer: Rust-Oleum Gray Automotive Primer Matte Finish: Krylon Crystal Clear Matte Kevin unbuilt kit picture parts picture finished pics picture picture picture picture picture |

Nice work, indeed! I've always been a fan of the Douglas attack bombers (Dauntless, Havoc and Invader) and I've been wanting to get a trio of these for FoW. I figure they can use the same stats as the P-38. In Tunisia, the A-20's worked so close to the ground at Kasserine Pass that a several returned to base with damage to the forward edge of their wings caused by clipping the aerials on German vehicles. Great job. Aluminum shows where paint has flecked. I am awed by the prowess here. I am after some 1/100 scale planes. Is 15mm considered 1/100 scale? I am curious. |

Generally speaking 1/100-1/108th is considered 15mm. And agree with you that Kevin has done a fantastic job on the weathering, especially where it comes to the metal showing through. VERY easy to over do or place in unrealistic places. I envy those who can do true art on such a small canvas! |
