are Void and Urban war one and the same game or are they entirley different games altogether. I have had a look at both websites and the forces seem to be the same races |

It's the same background, but different games. Void is the old game. Urban war is a small scale skirmish game. Metropolis is for bigger unit based games. |

Like Trojan Bunny said, Urban War is a much more smaller scale skirmish game. There are no units in the game, all models are treated as individuals. Although UW uses some mechanics from Void, one of the biggest differences is the the Pre-Orders mechanic. Where you secretly place orders at the beginning of the turn which limit the types of actions the model may perform when activated and the order of it's activation. This really makes you want to think ahead. Metropolis is much closer to Void 1.1, in fact I tend to call it a more refined version of Void. Those familiar with Void will catch up on Metropolis quite quickly. The UW/Metropolis setting takes place on a single planet that is cut off from the rest of the Void universe. The factions are pretty much the same, but the Triads are new and the Gladiators are a spin-off from the Junkers. Many of the units carried over from the Void 1.1 universe and you can use about 90% of the Void models in a game of Urban War or Metropolis. |
