There seems to be a bit of a dearth in this department. The QRF (LKM) figures look ok, but not great. Any other recommendations?

IMHO Peter pig do some pretty good Russian regulars with AK47 and LMG's. Nice skirmishing/charging poses. Unfortunately they dont show phots of those on their website, but you won't be disappointed

Another vote for PPig AK47 Regulars in Helmets. Theyre in light kit but look suitably Russian. If you want Paras go for the AK47 range regulars in berets with AK47s, the beret LMGs are also Russian IIRC. If you want the Afghani \ Spetznaz look headswap using the leamon squeezer style heads

I too would have to go with Peter Pig, but another option is the Old Glory Middle East Regulars. They are a bit light on kit but look the part.

Problem with using the PP regulars as Soviets/Russians is that the LMGs are RPDs which they don't use.

The Peter Pig figs are NOT Modern Russians mearly Russian style – more 1980's than present day. There is a thread from a couple of weeks ago on the same subject.

I'm confused because I swear I found some really nice 15mm Russians on the Skytrex website and I can't find them there anymore.

Try the Old Glory UK site the newer stuff is normally on there rather than Skytrex, don't know why.

Clearly I was thinking of Quality Castings, *not* Old Glory.

Anyone know how these scale with Peter Pig?

Thanks.

Busy doing Brits at the moment – will come back to Soviets later (probably after the Germans, French and Chinese)
