Hi all
I've finished a few more sculpts of animals. They are sort of jointly 25mm and 28mm scale… I've used the biggest measurements in the Encyclopedia of Mammals for scaling them. That makes them the largest possible for their species in 25mm and sort of average sized for 28mm.

First off, some moose. The male was sculpted without his antlers, so they are blu-tacked in place in some pics.

I like the scaling on 25mm – when you see one in the flesh, they *look* a whole lot bigger than the tape measure is willing to admit.

Having been up close to real ones, those greens look right

Proportions look realistic. Moose legs always look thinner than I expect for an animal that size. I know the muscles must be concentrated up in the hips/shoulders, with only tendons/ligaments extending along the long bones of the legs. But it still makes them look top-heavy in real life.

Nice work. They look good.

But do they bite?

But You gave them hooves, not feet! Other than that, nice work.

They've got cloven hooves, like deer are supposed to have.

I'm sure you could make a great little game out of relocating a moose; although the moose clearly failed a saving roll in this one:

Maybe I could sculpt a Sarah Palin, for a special moose vs politicians vs helicopters scenario?
