Hello I'm looking for some French Marines of the Garde in 25-28mm. I've seen the OG castings but I'd like to do them in campaign dress as illustrated in the Napoleon's Guard Infantry (2) (plate A1) Osprey. Any feedback on who (if anybody) makes them? tia Pete E

I have a battalion of MINIGIGs 25mm Marins de la Garde, (march attack pose). They are nice figures, but a bit dated by today's sculpting standard. They are not / not in campaign uniform. However, I believe they could be converted to an acceptable campaign dress by removing the shako plume and by painting them up with a more weathered-looking uniform. They will not fit in well with Old Glory figures in the same unit -- too swmall. But with larger (thicker) bases, they do not look out of place on the same battlefield. |

Try Connoisseur Range they have a Guard Marine and Officer only the one pose though. bicorne@btinternet.com they are sold individually at 80p so you could get a sample first. |

The Minifigs Marines of the Guard are sold as individuals at $1.00 each. They are 25mm in scale and therefore will be smaller than the current crop of "25mm" figures on the market now. FN71 Marine of the Guard Marching (M/A pose) FN72 Marine of the Guard Officer FN85 Marine of the Guard Drummer FN86 Marine of the Guard Advancing Am not sure if they took to the field with a standard or not. Hope this helps. Best, Tom Dye GFI |
