Had some comments on steam tanks on another thread. Here's my favorite:

auction

Most of you probably remember this from Mageknight. I got six of them when they were about six bucks apiece.

Here's another link. A LOT pricier, but it will be there for reference long after that ebay auction is gone.

Anyway, if you play 25-28mm, it is just a nice BIG tank, maybe a little bigger than a Maus. If you play 54mm, it is almost exactly the size of a Sherman. If you play 15mm (my present scale) it's a Bleeped texting land-leviathan, and that spiked roller becomes REALLY scary!

Enjoy

Whoops! Here's that second link I mentioned:

BTW: The only modifications I made to mine were:

1. Popped it off the Mageknight base, and just glued a standard (monopoly-sized) d6 under the fron of the chassis, so it would stand properly.

and

2. It had some stupid little quip (can't remember what, maybe "Have a nice day" or "Make my day" on it, which I painted over). Other than that, I just stick a British/French/German/Confederate or whatever flag on it appropriate to my present game, and I'm ready to play.

I sawed the flared end of the barrel off mine and touched up some of the more garish paint colors. And of course popped it off the base. Other than that its cheap and looks good. Haven't gamed with it yet though.
