"Drop Ship Model - Views sought" Topic

I have made more progress on my Drop Ship model and reached a point where I would like the views of the TMP community.

I need to decide which engine variant I should go with.

Definitely A, but maybe with the thrust nozzles from C….

I marginally prefer C over A but don't think B works for me.

I like the air entry of B and the exit of C but I like the shape of A better. B goes better with the ship itself – it has the same design ideas.

A, for the most part.

The intakes on B are nice, not sure how they'd fit the rounded front of A. The general shape of C just looks.. meh, as do the round dome-things on B.

I voted before I looked at the rest of this thread and picked A as well.

A for me.

I like all three and have been following your drop ship building thread for some time. I particularly enjoyed the contact lens rocket motor piece. Inspired.

C seems to fit the overall model best

"A" has the better engine exhaust. .

I say make one of each and if you go over budget just ask Congress for more $$$ ! Actually … they all look good ! 8-D

I SHOULD POINT OUT THAT ITS THE BASIC SHAPES OF THE ENGINES I'M INTERESTED IN. NONE OF THE ARE FINISHED – ESPECIALLY C WHICH HAS NO SURFACE DETAIL.

B, but you need two sets of engines (fore & aft) IMHO!

I voted for C because it fit better with the shape and allowed attention to be drawn to the hatch (?) in the middle panel.

I like the thrust covers on C altough the ones on A were very cool also. Maybe you could put the A thrust covers as side acess panels on the blank part of C.

To answer a few questions.

Yes, there will be four engines one in each corner – a little ike an eagle transporter (as is disucssed on earlier posts on the blog) thats an intentional reference.
