I remember picking up a small boxed set of plastic miniatures that were similar to those found in Warhammer Quest and Heroquest but for the life of me cannot find anything online about them. Does anyone remember these small boxed sets? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

IIRC they were expansion sets for HeroQuest. I am certain there was an undead set at least. |

GW released boxes of some of their plastics about 8 years ago. There was a "Wizards" box that had the 6 Empire wizards, a Dark Elf wizardess, and a Chaos sorcerer in it. Then there was a "Chaos" box that had Chaos Warriors and Beastmen in it. A "Dungeon Denizens" box with the Warhammer Quest baddies (Minotaur, bats, giant rats, etc). Same with the "Orc and Goblin" box, a "Heroes" box, and maybe more. |

"Expansion" sets, or "trying to get more milage out of the mold" sets? They did both Fantasy and 40k sets. Either way, I've bought a fair number. One of the locals still has a couple, but they were intentionally a short run. The Dungeon Denizens box was frankly too good a deal to last, with four of the old mixed swarm sprue and a minotaur. |

cyberdoc, two possibilities spring to mind. The first would be the expansions to Heroquest. The two common sets featured a bunch of white undead guys (skeletons with scythes mostly) in one and green orcs (for the most part) in the other. The second would be the boxes that had the plastics from Talisman in them. One of the sets had mostly melee types and the other had spellcasters. Both were gray plastic. |

GypsyComet, you mean one of your local stores still has some of these? If they do could you possibly get me the store contact info? I also finally found some more info on what I was looking for. It was the FT06 box from Games Workshop. Actually any of them would be great if I could get my hands on them. |

gatorgames.com You'll want to call them, as these are so few and off in a corner somewhere that it'll take the "obscure GW" expert to find them. If you have no luck that way let me know here, as I'll be there next weekend and can look in person. |

GypsyComet, I tried giving them a call and they said they were out of stock. If you do happen to find one when you are poking around please let me know. |

I checked at Gator Games yesterday, and they do have a total of five left. None of the Talisman/Warhammer Quest specific ones left, but there were two of the Jungle Denizens (Lizardmen and Skinks), one Bretonnian set, and two of (IIRC) the Orc set. Since Gator is set up to do Mail Order, I let the owner know you'd call back if you were interested. If they still can't find them, I found the last five on the center bottom shelf in the WFB area next to the Battlefleet Gothic boxes. The owner is rarely in, but the Manager should also now know what and where these are. |
