We've discussed him here: TMP link And now I've received a tip about this: Andrew Peter Worsley, of Chaucer Street in the city was arrested on Friday night by detectives investigating the robbery which took place last month. link Coincidence, or is this the same fellow? |

As a close friend and associate of Andy I would like to confirm that the Andrew Worsley is the person in question mentioned above. At this point I would not like to make further comment except that to say that all his close friends and family are absolutely stunned by the recent events involving Andy. |

*shocked* Clearly this is an unhappy series of events for everybody involved. :-| |

I think this should be the time when TMPers first think about what they post until all the facts are released. Paul@BAM |

Personally I didn't find him THAT expensive and i think it's a bit heavy involving the law
trading standards maybe. Now if it'd been Foundry ..daylight robbery and all that

Robbery sounds much more exciting than than fraud, doesn't it. |

So the BBC reports the suspect as being 43 whilst the police themselves report him as being 34. How old is the Last Valley chap? |

One of those is probably a transposition of numbers. Easy to do, and easy enough to miss in proofreading. |

Different arrests I'd say. No date on the police page, but other news stories report a 34 year old man arrested about 2 weeks ago and subsequently released on bail, so the date's different from the BBC story, as is the age, as is the outcome (released on bail vs remanded in custody.) It should also be a reminder not to jump to conclusions – that's two arrests on charges of the same one-man crime by my reckoning. Let's just let things take their course, and my sympathies to Andy's family and friends at what must be a bloody awful time, whatever the truth of the matter is. |

"(released on bail vs remanded in custody.)" It is not unusual for someone to be released on police bail pending further enquiries after being arrested. The police in this case appear to have charged the man after he answered bail and he was then taken before magistrates and remanded for trial. |
