Having resolved the issue of compatibility, and thanks again to those who helped. The next question is about flags. There are some really nice flags on view in the huge number of photos on the net. Can anyone help with recommendations on the best flags for this scale? I have previously rescaled flags from Warflag for the smaller scales, but being new to the bigger size, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. |

GMB Flags are the best you will find. All flags on my site are GMB : link He doesn't have a website though, so if you are interested, email him at gmbdesigns@blueyonder.co.uk and ask for an up-to-date list. He will include an order form and price list. |

Are you looking for someone that sells flags or for somewhere on the net for you to print your own? Napflag, a part or partner of warflag is pretty good for the latter. |

I like Maverick Models selection. Good value and you get them in singles so you only buy what you need. maverick-models.com |

I second GMB flags. While there are many other makers of very good flags, GMB are a cut above all I have ever seen in quality, design and printing. They are little works of art in themselves. |

Thanks for that. It really is a mine field out there!! We are spoilt for choice, which seems to be the case with evrything. |

GMB flags are the best, bar none. |

Fourth Vote for GMB. Although from what I've seen Flag Dude is pretty exceptional. |

A fifth vote for GMB. I have tried the Flag Dude's work, but was disappointed when the flags arrived with dark 'contrasting' edges, and a 'grainier' level of 'pixelation' (less precise detail) than GMB, producing a less realistic overall appearance, IMHO. Conversely, with GMB flags, you can 'work' the furling or rippling of the flag as much as you like, and colour match your 'edges' (I learned from Arteis) for a better effect. Just my 2P. Bryce |
