Hi guys,

I just added those three units to my website. The 53e is in the short-lived white uniform.

Pictures here : link

And you can find a short review of the Perry Nassau on my website's blog : link

Comments appreciated. Hope you like them.

The Nassau troops look very good indeed, very animated look to the unit, well done and thanks for sharing with us.

Charles,

What year of uniform is that for the 1st Nassau? I was trying to find out what the Nassau battalion attached to the French VII Corps in 1806 would look like.

Cheers,

The Bandit

It's the new 1815 uniform; only the 1st received it in 1815. I do plan to use them in the earlier period anyways. Really, it's an excuse to paint some Perrys.

For 1806, look here : picture

They would still be in helmets I think.

Excellent! Just what I was looking for.

Cheer,

The Bandit

Hi Charles,
your blog is very interesting !
A question please, what set of rules do you use for 28mm?
I see 4 stands for Infantry and it's the size ok for me.

Thanks for help and compliments from Italy!!!!

Thanks for the kind words.

I settled on a basing scheme that allows me to play many different rulesets. My armies are based to be compatible with Huzzah!, Piquet Les Grognards, In the Name of Glory, Elan Deluxe and Grande Armée (in which case the 4 stands are put in square and considered a single brigade). Of the lot, my favourites are probably Huzzah! and Piquet, but I've not settled on a definitive ruleset yet.

Huzzah!, Elan Deluxe and ITNOG are all available for free as PDF files if you want to look it up : oozlumgames.wordpress.com

Fantasic figs! Which one of those rules would you say that you enjoy the most?

ArchiducCharles18 Aug 2008 7:04 a.m. PST

That's a tough one. Probably Piquet (flavoured with a few house rules)….but this might change if Huzzah! ever publishes their Grand Tactical rules.

ok thanks! I have read through elan and it looks interesting, but its kinda wierd the way it was written and laid out. I am checking out huzzah! right now…
