What happened at the game? Read on.

Gross Beeren, 2 sessions. Although both games were actually overbooked, only four players each showed up. Nevertheless we completed 17 of 22 turns in 7 1/2 hours or 26.47 minutes a turn. It was a decisive French victory to the extent that Berlin fell the next day, knocking the Prussians out of the war and forcing Austria to terms.

The issue centered around Blankenfeld and Tauentzein's IV Prussian Landwehr Korps. In previous games the French under Bertrand were hesitant to press the issue against the Prussians who doggedly defended Blankenfeld. This time around I had two groups of uber-aggressive players and Bertrand roared into combat with everything he had. The Landwehr responded with "bayonets forwaaaaaaard, fur Gott und Vaterland!" The Prussians got clobbered and this forced Bulow's III Korps to divert two full brigades + to retrieve the situation. Even two Landwehr brigades from the Berlin garrison were committed and Crown Prince Jean "I got your back" Bernadotte was forced to commit his Swedes early. Casualties below in terms of number of stands lost (consider each stand to be an 80% casualty / 20% cohesion loss), but we figured the Allies abandoned both the field and Berlin during the night.

Infantry:
French – 19 stands
Allies – 47 stands Cavalry:
French – 4 stands
Allies – 25 stands
Artillery:
French – 1 stand
Allies – 6 stands Leaders:
French – GdD Franquemont captured
Allies – General Tauentzein killed

Bill:

It's the extra period '.' at the end of the line that's causing the problem.

just backspace the period at the end of the link.

Sorry, try this, without the extra period:

Thanks for the catch.

Rather one-sided losses!

Bulow's III Prussian Korps went tow to tow with their adversaries and didn't bat an eyelash.

At Blankenfeld you had Bertrand with three brigades of Italians, three brigades of Wurttemburgers, three of French Ligne and a Wurttemburg light cavalry brigade faced off against four regiments of Landwehr infantry and two of Landwehr cavalry. The Landwehr decides to leave a brick and masonry constructed town with stone walls to attack Bertrand in the woods as the Franco-Allies are advancing.

So what do you think will happen :) ?

Props to the Schnitzel eaters for a heavy dose of chutzpa, however. And it was a lot of fun.
