Does anyone know if there are any siege rules for the Warmaster Ancients rules? I have searched the www and found lots of references to such as 'Into the Breach' (Which are very good rules) but they are really more concentrated on the middle ages. I'm looking for something more in the era 200BC to 100AD. |

If I remember correctly there are some siege rules for the Warmaster (fantasy) game perhaps these could be adapted for the ancients rules? |

That is apparently true. But the download provided ends at the point where the siege rules start! |

The siege rules in Warmaster (Fantasy) are very good and give a very playable game. We use essentially warmaster ancients with the siege rules from the fantasy version as well as many of our own tweaks for LOTR in 10mm. They would be easy to adapt to the ancients period. If you can't find them anywhere drop me a line at leidang at mchsi dot com and I can shoot you an e-mail with the basic ideas
they are pretty easy. |

Hi. Siege rules for warmaster historical rules will be included in the forthcoming medieval warmaster book, that is to be released late this year IIRC. But as Leidang stated, you can use the warmaster fantasy siege rules with good results. Cheers, Eric |

Thanks Eric. No doubt that accounts for all the Beta versions disappearing off the www! |

Medieval Tactica has a nice siege game as the second half of the rules. d6 based, clever rules for ladder raising, bombardments, fortification strengths, etc. It does not have the "detail" of individual outfitting of weapons and so on, but is geared to a quicker game with figure types (nobles, men-at-arms, archers, etc). Details: Item: 1-19450 Conliffe, Arty TACTICA: Medieval Book 8.5x11 format, packed with color photos, simple &easy to play rules, army lists.1 vol, 1992 NY, QUANTUM PRINTING COMP NEW-softcover $22.00 USD Siege rules are on pages 40-54.
