Can anyone point me towards websites or recommend books about Italy in the Naps wars?

Osprey has discontinued their book about them and I'm interested in uniforms details, organizations, etc.

Those are about the best.

Nafziger has a couple of books about Eugene's campaigns.

@AC: Actually, I have a copy of the Osprey that I was thinking of selling. I've also got a c. 1970s uniform guide on Italian uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars …

Don't overlook the Elting Books. Swords around the Throne pp 391 to about 396. There are some tidbits in the Uniforms books that you probably won't find elsewhere.

Then there's the old standby, Armies of the Napoleonic Era by Otto von Pivka. Good basic information.

For uniform details, I use the Lienhart & Humbert plates. The Italian plates are linked below:

@AC: Ok, I am going to locate both books, and get the title of the 2nd book to you by e-mail. Stay tuned …

Italians always did seem like a good way to use Napoleonic French figures as something else, albeit with minor conversions here and there, but there are only so many periods that one can manage at once …

You might also find useful:

Prince Eugene at War:1809 by Robert Epstein published by the Emperor's Press in 1984

This is a good account of the 1809 campaign against Archduke John.

I've yet to find a decent account in English of the 1813-14 campaign in Italy or Murat abortive one in 1815.
