Does anyone know
a) When did the British stop wearing the 1812-1815 type shako?
b) When did we convert some of our cavalry regiments to lancers?

Ordered in 1816 – 9th, 12th (16th?) and 23rd – a year later the 19th (23rd disbanded). 19th disbanded in 1821, 17th converted in 1822.
Shako authorised in August 1815, on the Prussian model apparently.
