Here's a WIP of my retro-sci-fi rocketship that I'm making from a Denny's Rocket Cup.

The figure next to it is Hydra Miniature's Ace McGuire.

Nice work! I like how you mounted the gun at the top for the nose. Looks more retro that way.

That's coming along nicely! I have one of the old style rockets, but have yet to get the new style.

I look forward to some battle reports when you start playing.

The only problem with these is that you have to go to Denny's to get them.

Hey! Denny's is fine quality American grub.

Captain Apathy24 Jul 2008 9:45 a.m. PST

CmdrKiley – That looks great. I have a number of these as awell as the older style. I think I may get cracking on them this weekend thanks to your inspired work. Cheers.

Nice work. Shame we cant get them in the UK.

Thanks Guys!

Somehow I'm imagining a lot of lunches being planned at Denny's this week. Probably a few bulk purchases to be sent overseas as well.

Denny's is still selling those?
I've been lately but never seen them there…

I picked mine up last month at a Denny's in Taylor Michigan.

"Hey! Denny's is fine quality American grub."

That's more emotion than I'd expect from you, Captain.

Denny's: Better than Bob Evans.

Hey, that's nice! I mounted a gun in mine as well -- the little slot and hole for the straw seemed made for it -- but it never occurred to me to try a pilot's blister like that. Well done!

All the Denny's that were around here are gone. (I has a sad)

Denny's is also better than Waffle House and Huddle House.

You have to get a kids meal to get the cup (around here anyway)

PJ,

I just went last night, took my daughter with me. Actually, I didn't have to order a kids meal to get mine. I just told the waitress I wanted on. She had already brought out drinks when we ordered the cups (my daughter got one too), and she brought them to the table full of drink. I think you can just ask for one….it was $1.99 USD per cup.

Great piece. I'm tempted to make a full scale Scout/Courier for Traveller in 28mm. Seeing this helps that idea along quite a bit.
