Subject: Ki-27 Nate
Manufacture: Reviresco tin-soldier.com
Scale: 1/144
Medium: White Metal
Price (webstore): $8.00 USD USD

The kit consists of ~10 pieces as I recall: fuselage halves x2, canopy, cowling, wing assy, horizontal stabs, landing gears, and propeller (I don't recall if there was an antenna in there or not, I used wire). The pieces went together well and required minimal trimming and filing. I used superglue to assemble the model and gap-filling superglue to fill small spaces between parts.

Recommendation: Nice little kit, I recommend it for all experience levels.

Post assembly:
Decals: True North and Scale Specialties
Paint: Vallejo Model Colors
Primer: Rust-Oleum Gray Automotive Primer
Matte Finish: Krylon Crystal Clear Matte

Both of you guys do great work.
I am looking forward to getting some myself.

VSB, nice job on the paint scheme. I personally avoid painting reds and yellows if at all possible (I always seem to come out with transparent areas or manage to smudge them). I enjoy yellow paint so little that I cut up some yellow decal film and used it on the yellow areas of the Fokker C.X picture

That looks really good. Which reminded me I forgot the yellow markings on the leading edge. Anyone know what those were for?

VS, I believe they were for identification purposes. Much like the yellow noses of the Luftwaffe in the BoB.

OK – Who is up for painting the stuff for a Flying Tigers Campaign in 1/144 for Fall-IN or Cold Wars 2009?

The only problem is all the Bettys…

Virtual, these are very nice. Did you do these yourself? Skirmish, you can get Bettys from Big Bird Vol. #1 and F-toys. I have some extras if your interested. Mike

Na…thanks though. The Bettys are Academy/Minicraft kits – $4.99 USD on eBay a while back, and the P-40's are Reviresco. I may redo the noses on the latter.
