What manufacturers do you recommend for quality 15mm building for the WW2 period? |

I would take a look at crescent-root.com. They have a nice range of 15mm buildings for both European & Middle Eastern theaters. At least a dozen in the European theater that you can buy painted (and they do a very good job) or unpainted. The roofs even lift off of some – which is on the rarer side for 15mm. |

I think the JR miniature buildings are top notch as well. |

The Old Glory range is pretty nice. They are made of resin. |

Miniature Building Authority are top notch and priced like it. They all come as either (a) lift-off roofs or (b) in both a new and destroyed version: link (Will have to track down my pictures in the morning). Hallmark also make a really nice set of solid buildings. Like the MBA range they come painted – ready to use right out of the box. I bought a complete set from 19th Century Miniatures at Cold Wars. Crescent Root stuff is top notch and I have a bunch of it. |

Kerr & King, Tiger Terrain are two worth looking at. All the above are good as well. |

I like Scott Washburn's buildings, they are tops if you do card modeling. You get whole and ruined versions of each building, and he covers a wide range of styles (Western Europe, Mediterranean, northern and southern Russian, Middle Eastern, and even tropical styles) |

Just seen an ad in Miniature Wargames for 15mm WWII buildings, terrain mats etc from underoneroofmodelshop.co.uk They look brilliant, if quite expensive, and can be bought painted or unpainted Paul F |

I've got a lot of Timecast and JR Miniatures. Both are very nice. I've also got some of the painted FOW building which are also very nice. |

I use a lot of Musket Miniatures. They are hollow with lift off roofs and floors. There are NW Europe and Russian buildings available. Hovels, Ltd. also make a bunch of nice bldgs. too. |

I add to what many say: Crescent Root excellent! Musket Miniatures also very good and matchs in scale with CR Miniature Building Authority. Selective JR Miniatures. All high quality. |

I love my pre-painted Landmark buildings for Normandy. They are still 40% off at Warweb. Can't beat the price and quality IMO. |

There is a complete terrain manufacturers directory on the 15mm WWII group at: link |

I'll second CPBelt. I bought the whole range of Landmark buildings from Ade at Battle Honours UK. Lovely buildings, look great on the tabletop |

For 15mm, I'd use 1/87 plastic kits for model railroads for the highest quality. Lots of German architecture available. Given the chunkiness of metal figures and the extra height of the bases, 15mm goes well with 1/87 structures. |

Although I'm in the UK I ordered a shed-load of stuff from JR Miniatures, but I found them to be a bit on the small side – probably fine for 10-12mm rather than 15mm. I'm looking at not only the footprint of the building, but things like the size of the doorway where it is is quickly apparent that no one other than a small child will fit through!! One of the churches I have wouldn't have room in it for more than about 3 in the congregation! My choices would be; hovellsltd.co.uk timecastmodels.co.uk |

I would recommend Kerr & King. kerrandking.co.uk Beautiful-looking resin buildings, and they offer free shipping worldwide! |
| Mexcalibur | 30 Mar 2010 10:46 p.m. PST |
great suggestions, but how about free online print-ready buildings that we can just glue to cardboard or mdf? |
| zoneofcontrol | 31 Mar 2010 6:51 a.m. PST |
Mexcalibur- Perry's Heroes website has free paper buildings, roads and railroads to print and use. Also, just Google free paper buildings and you'll get pages of listings. Lastly, Paper Terrain and Microtactix sell individual and sets of pre-printed buildings. |

It is little known that Snapdragon Studios did some lovely 15mm thatched cottages. Not sure whether they are available now though |

Crescent Root seems to be under construction
Whom else can I purchase their products from??? |
Marc33594 | 09 Apr 2011 4:06 a.m. PST |
You can't unless you buy from another gamer getting rid of theirs. Mark only sold direct, not through shops or distributors. Hope he gets going again soon! |
