On Sunday the Ottawa Miniatures Gamers gave the Too Fat Lardies rules 'Sharp Practice' a test drive. Everyone had a great time. You can read the battle report here:

I'm blocked at work, but I look forward to reading it when I get home this evening.

I'm jealous! I thought it was to be released on 10 or 11 May. How'd you guys manage to bag an early release copy?
Con promotion?

I think the PDF is recently released.

I'm waiting for the hard copy, with the two figures (all gone by now).

DeWolfe says in his report that he had a playtest version of the rules.

Yes Schogun is right, I was lucky enough to have a playtest copy of the rules. I am REALLY looking forward to the arrival of my hard copy. The best thing about these rules is the way they cater to the cinematic and the history, you can add in as much of either as you like. In my game we actually didn't end up using any darring-do at all and since both sides were almost always deployed in skirmish screens the manoeuvre rules didn't come into it either. The manoeuvre rules are actually my favourite part, they are easy to understand and use and really add to the decisions that the players have to make, which means a more challenging game but not a more complex one.
