I wanted a Cave Kraken to gobble up a few adventures in dungeon crawls. I found a likely looking octopus to convert at Hobby Lobby and here is how the project is going.

First a look at the toy donating their toyness to my game table.

Second a look at the little guy after surgery.

Last, a look at him next to the 1/72 figures I plan to feed to him on the game table.

Next, the paint job.

Thanks for looking,

The pink tentacles coming out of the water look a bit…funny! Nice job!

Cool! I love conversions. Be sure to post a photo when you have the Kraken painted up! Are those the Caeser figures? I've been eyeing them for a while now, …must resist urge to buy…

I am looking forward to getting some paint on the little guy myself, and yes those are Caesar figures. I could resist the urge to buy no longer.

Once again ingenuity wins out!

Nice job LLC, can't wai to see the painted item.

Was the Octopus an aquarium accessory, or just a cheap toy?

La Long Carabine23 Apr 2008 8:05 a.m. PST

A cheap toy I got from Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon.

I plan on converting the sea horse into a Sea Serpent.
