Sumerian Chariots in 6mm

Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

Just recieved my issue of WI 247.

The free plastic Roman from Warlord Games looks very nice, similar in size and bulk to Foundry(Perry) Romans.

Comes with seperate head and alternate arms with sword or pilum.

In the issue there is a four page article on the new Perry plastic ACW figs including a few conversions.

I don't suppose it comes with a Little Big Men shield transfer, does it (like the ones in the boxed set are intended to)?

No, 'fraid not.

That answers a lot of question that will come up here at the store.

Thanks a lot

I painted mine up today (relaxing afternoon!) and i thought he was a joy to paint. The detail is very good and easy to paint (if it's easy for me then believe me, it's easy!) and the anatomy is also very good (he's clearly not Conan joining the Legion 'to forget'!).

I have always thought the original Perry Foundry Romans superior to the later (and larger) productions so I'm very happy with the size/detail of this figure and will be parting with my cash come May. From what I've seen so far of the Celts I'll be parting with even more of it in June…

Well done Warlord.

My only criticism of it, is that the legs are set very wide apart (you can see this in Justin's third picture); it looks like they should join at the chest!

The Centurions and other command figures look great, though.
