An awesome webcomic. It's simply Garfield with Garfield edited out with photoshop

Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let's laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.

Rod Serling is going to step out from behind that bush any second now…..

A friend reccomended this comic to me about a week ago – strange and excellent. Funny, sad, odd stuff.

Kind of cool and sad.

Here's another odd Garfield experience.

Though the G-G is MUCH better I think. Still you do get some odd things from the "Random Garfield Generator"…

The great thing about G-G is that it's really what the comic is, John can't hear Garfield's thoughts, he really is being kinda crazy when he talks to his cat in detail.

And I find it oddly humorous that taking out the main character of the comic strip makes it that much funnier… maybe Arbuckle has just been in the shadow too long.

Or perhaps Garfield is simply so inherently unfunny that removing him makes Arbuckle appear humorous by comparison…

Now that is a great comic! Truely sublime and avant guard, the empty space speaks volumes to the pathos of the human condition. evil grin

It's kind of sad…and creepy…and darkly funny.

Personally, I can't stand 'Garfield'. Or 'Cathy'.

I'm stunned at how WEIRD it is… and yet.. still funny.

(By the way, Jim Davis hasn't done the art on the strip for YEARS -- I know one of the guys who ghosts for him on the Sunday strips -- Great guy, and he has mostly good things to say about Jim.)
