I designed a 15MM age of sail game called Sailpower ( sailpowergame.com ) and I run it as a big format convention game. I cast my own ships, but really don't do crew figs of my own at this point.

That said, my convention ships look all the better with a deck full of crew :D My eventual goal is to add more and more crew to the ships.

I am seeking recomendations for good 15MM figures for pirates, and naval crew. I eventually plan on doing both golden age of piracy and napoleonic/war of 1812.

Because i am so busy making ships, and because i have 40+ ships to crew, I am of course looking for good sources for painted figures, That said with the rarity of 15MM naval stuff i've seen, I also will need unpainted figures.

I also may be interested in getting some crew scuplted to add to my game line at some point, perhaps in some active action poses.

If you know of anyone who may have painted figures, paints figures, or of any good figure lines i should condider please let me know.

If you know of a good sculptor that would be interested in working on some really great naval crew, I'd love to hear from them as well!

I know for a fact that Joel at Merrimack Shipyards has some (unless he sold the line), as he bought them from me!

As far as a sculptor, yes, I have a name you can use.

The MiniFig 15mm sailors and marines (Brit and US IIRC) are very nice figures and would work for the Nappy/1812 period. I don't know if they have pirates-I'm sure Tom Dye will turn up shortly and tell us.

Yes we do! Quite a collection to even include the Barbary Pirates! Look for "Limeys and Slimes" 15mm historical range.

I have used Thoroughbred's figures they are very nice.

I also have a few of the peter pig pirates.

I want to get a few different lines for more figure diversity :)

Also looking for painted figures as i have so little time to paint.

Also apreciate the sculpting tip

I've painted a whole bunch of the Thoroughbred ones and they are top notch. I've also done the Battle Honors ones and they are good as well.

Believe it or not, I had picture up there for most of the range! Now I need to find out what happened to them!

Thanks Saber6!

bcarnes:

For the Battle Honors,go to:

oldglory15s.com/catalog

click on Battle Honors 15mm,

then Nappys,

then Brits,

and the marines and ships crews are about 3/4 of the way down in the list-in the same pack. I haven't seen these figures, but most of the Battle Honors Nappy 15s are very nice figures.
