Are their any instructions on creating a 28MM Stargate for scenery out there? |

Not that I've seen. But if it helps, I used part of a petrol cap and plasticard to make a 15mm one; and Dragon's Hoard used to make 25mm "Stellar portals" but seem to have vanished

There are a number of paper stargates you could download free from the web. Here's one sum1els.com |

I sent an e-mail tot he people who sell the 28mm Stargate miniatures, and they said they planned to have a stargate out, but not until the end of the year

I have made models of Stargates using the download paper one as a template. (I have 3!) picture As I decided to cut out a foamcore backing to the paper model, I looked around for a convenient circle to trace, and a CD seemed about right. Once I had finished the tricky job of cutting a disk, it didn't seem to be much more effort to just cut out additional parts and do a 3D model. I built the DHDs also, using a wooden armature and Sculpy. the base is stacked blue styro. In the rest of the photo sections of my Photobucket page you can see some of my other SG terrain and figures. link There is a metal model of the Stargate available for about $40, and additional for the base. I could give you details of the supplier in a less-public place. (I could send you co-ordinates to a neutral off-world site):) |

I bought a simply painted resin (or maybe dense plaster) Stargate at a train show from a second hand anime/horror/sci-fi dvd vendor. There is a picture of it in the background here: link I got it for $5. USD Given the interest, I should have bought the others.. |

Oh, that reminds me of another source. Thanks Goldwyrm! The new 10 season box set of Stargate SG-1 DVDs has a clear plastic stargate impressed into the cover. I have heard of several people who have carefully cut out the disk and filled it for a model. This could have been a source for the knock-offs? |

Well, you could always make one from "Thomas" toy train track segments. I did this for a heroScape mod. picture |

"This could have been a source for the knock-offs?" They had Made in China stickers so I don't think these were made that way, but perhaps.. |

Sort of expensive but here is an option
link I actually have a Resin one that I bought on E-bay but I have no idea who made it. It's really nice though
perfect for 28mm. |

Yikes! Well, never mind about that meeting on an off-world planet now! I'm afraid there's been a leak in the containment field. |
