Can anyone give me an idea as to the quality of the pendraken 19th century range? I am especially interested in the Danish, Italians and Austrians. Have these been remodeled? I know the French have been redone and the reviews seem very good but what about the others? Anyone have pictures of these figures? Whcih ranges have been redone and which are up to get redone next? |

The Bavarians are next. The new French are superb and the new Prussians (circa 1860-1871) are every bit as good. They are the best available for FPW. I've not seen the Austrians or Italians. |

Current Austrians are good and are due to be re-done I believe. |

Okay thanks for the reviews. Now what about the 6mm Baccus Franco-Prussian? Anyone have any pictures of these or opinion on which range I should go for? Off the top of my head the Baccus look very but only ofer Prussians and French at this point. No Austrians,Danish or Italian. However, I would probably not go for these in Pendraken 10mm either until they are redone. Any opinions? |

So I am about ready to order a bunch of pendraken but can't get the Baccus stuff out of my head? Need something to sway me one way or the other. |

As has been said the Pendraken ranges are being redone. The French and Prussians are pretty well complete, and contain a huge variety of figures of top quality. The Bavarians are coming out as we speak, and I have already managed to get some of the infantry. As for Pendraken's plans and timescales for redoing the other 19th century ranges I would suggest you drop Dave Pengilley an e-mail and ask him. His e-mail address is on the website, and I have always found him most helpful. As hobbyists I think we are very lucky to have guys like Dave and Pete Berry of Baccus around who both offer good, efficient service with a smile. I have had nothing but good dealings with both of them over the years, so I'm afraid I can't offer you anything to sway you one way or the other on that front! Why not try a few samples from each, see how your paint job looks on both, and decide that way? Best of luck with whatever you choose. Cheers Steinmetz |
