Are the Venexia Italian Wars 15mm figures of a similar size to the Essex 15mm Renaissance figures? Thanks in advance Muggy |

I do not have Essex 15mm infantry from their Late Medieval/Early Renaissance range, but I do have cavalry from both Essex and Venexia. Essex Gendarmes are similar in size to Venexia Gendarmes. But, the Essex horses are smaller, almost seem like ponies as compared to the Venexia horses. I intend to mix them anyway (I'm not fussy). |

I've heard the Venexia foot is more of an 18mm, where the Essex stuff is closer to 15mm. |

The Italian Wars range mixes well with Essex and Mirliton. The other Venexia ranges are large 15 mmm but not this one. |

The Italian Wars 15's were specifically designed to match Mirliton 15's (although they turned out a tad bit larger). I forgot about this fact. I loads of Mirliton and Essex for an earlier period and they match up very well. I assume that the Venexia will match up decently with the Essex. |

That is great to hear. The figures are beautiful. I have such a conglomeration of figures for the period it shouldn't matter anyway. I started with Mikes Models Landsknects, and have added TTG, Minifig and Essex. |
