I've just found out about the WWII aerial combat game Spitting Fire on Majestic 12's website. Anyone played or know anything about this? From what little I've read the publisher seems to be downplaying realism which might be a bad thing. Anyone know anything about this game? |

It doesn't "downplay" realism, per se
however, the design intent was to emphasize gameplay over historical accuracy. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the game is very much about squadron-level combat; so if you're looking for something to model one-to-one dogfights, Spitting Fire might not be for you. We do have a demo online: PDF link |

I just purchased the rules. very easy to play good firing rules. no ground attack rules yet. not bad for the money. |

The preview looks decent. Might be worth checking out. |

I looked at your demo. The rules are well, and clearly written, there are plenty of illustrations, it's a nice layout, there's an index, the aircraft stats look right, and the price is very reasonable for the pdf. So I just bought the game. You did a nice job. |
