Updates to Infantry regulations (to 1801 in 3 ranks) 20th April 1804
Company drill for all Infantry.
In two ranks, formed in 80 files, plus 20 Schutzen evenly distributed behind the four zug under command of the oldest Sergeanten.

March 1809.
The 5th part of a Company to consist of schutzen. Once again the Company is formed on 3 ranks, the third rank are the Schutzen who detach for Tirailleur duty.

29 April 1811
Formation of Shutzen Company, & implementation of full French regulations starting September 1811. All companies 3 ranks, only difference in 3rd ranks was the Schutzen company where they carried rifles. Only if company strength was low 2 ranks was to be used.
