Just completed a re-paint of an AT43 mini by Rackham as a Russian Walker for Weird War 2 gaming. I've gone for a winter white-wash colour scheme and have used a converted GW mini as the pilot. link link I really like the AT43 figures and have ordered some more to bulk out my force. PM |

Wow. The walker looks way better with the Winter white-wash! |

What a great job! Very effective whitewash and slogans to make it look like a proper Soviet walker. |

Yea, the AT-43 Red Block stuff is great for Weird War II- I have a Kossak on my desk right now. I plan it leave it as-is of the moment, but your your re-paint is certaintly inspirational. Also, how'd you get the cockpit to open? -Will |

Thank you all for the comments! :) Wminsing: The Red Blok "Nakovalny" walker comes with an opening cockpit and detailed interior. I wasn't even aware of it until I bought it! PM |

Aha, good thing I asked before I tried to pry open the cockpit on my Kossak! ;) Anyway Pappa Midnight, I love your WWWII gallery, it's helped push my own WWWII project to near the top of my 'to-do' list. -Will |

So in most "WWWII" rules that feature them, what makes a walkers different from other armour? I've seen some 6mm large walkers that would be about in the right scale for this sort of thing for my 12mm

Actually, that's a good question, what rules are people using for WWWII? I know West Wind and Darkson Designs both have rules in the works, but I want to freely use whatever minis strike my fancy, so I was planning to use a normal WWII rules set and add the fantastic elements to it. Have other people done this? -Will |

Lentulus: I just love the idea of Pukp style WW2 gaming. Walkers are plain SILLY but they are also very COOL (IMHO). They don't tend to be any more effective than conventional tanks ( their high profile making them easy targets for AT fire) but they add to that pulp vibe! Will- Westwind's "Secrets of the Third Reich" has the facility to build your own mechs/walkers and assign stats. It's worth having a look on: link There's a "Beta" playtest download of the rules which has rules for building your own mechs. Regards PM |

While not official, IIRC, there are quite a few pulp WWII adds-ons to THW's Nuts! and are available via the THW's Yahoo group. |

Hmmm, so there are custom vehicle rules in SotTR, thanks for the tip! I will also check out THW's stuff. -Will |
