I needed one of Armaments in Miniature's deluxe Horsas to complement some standard Horsas I'd previously completed. The deluxe kit comes with a detached tail and ramps. Like the standard kit, this is a nice resin 15mm kit that cleans up nicely and is not too difficult to assemble. Since this kit is bound for the Flames of War battlefield I made a few modifications. I mounted the ramps on a plastic base so they would be easier to keep track of. I replaced the primary landing gear struts with metal wire from a paper clip and I replaced the resin antennas, pitot tube, and wing tip guards with brass wire as a precaution against breakage. Althought the model's fuselage may appear hollow in the picture it is solid resin.
