Steve,

The material you continue to provide is first rate! However, I have a request that is partly selfish and partly for the benefit of all. I reviewed the index of drill manuals, regs, etc. on the Napoleon Series and it contains only some French and English items. Do you have links to the drill regs for the major players in our period easily accessible and, if so, would you publish them here?

Cheers,

Tom

Steven H Smith17 Dec 2007 6:05 a.m. PST

Tom,

Unfortunately, I do not keep lists of the on-line material I provided both here and on the NSF. I only download those materials of interest to me.

Whereas there is a great deal of English drill regulations, etc available on-line little of the French material has been made available. There are several volumes of Austrian regs on Google Books as well as Prussian and Russian volumes available on other sites (see some of 'Un ami's' posts for Russian.

Perhaps a new thread on the 'on-line regs' would bring out more material that is available.

It should be noted that my postings are made as I discover the material. It does not come from a reserve list kept by me.

Can you do a list of Arthur Chuquet available on google, some of which might be relevant to what you have been looking for, like lettres de 1815 or ordres et apostilles de Napoleon

I cannot provide the links because a lot are blocked for europe and the link I would use wouldn't work for others.

I hope you are feeling better

@von Winterfeldt & other non US based folks

All books tagged published post 1907 are blocked from download or full view.
All books tagged published post 1867 are blocked to requests originating from computers with IP addresses that denote them as outside the USA.

The word you need to type into a Google Search is 'proxy'.
Basically you use another computer, based in the US, to make your requests for you. In return you normally have to suffer pop up adverts from it.

There was one quaintly called proxynap.com but they tend to come and go as the big boys have a habit of shutting their access down.
