When attempting my bi-weekly trip to the New Wave website for the latest mini releases, I get this:

"...unable to locate the server..."

Doese anybody know more on this issue?

you must be having connection issues. comes up fine for me.

Hmmm, strange. Could be, but I've tried it on both Netscape and Explorer...I usually get something from one of them. I guess they've cut me off;-)

do you have a cable modem? you may need to release and renew the IP address leases. I think the command is wincnfg

(you would type at the start/run command box, release then renew your leases. Make sure the browser is closed but the cable modem is on)

IP address lease is likely not the problem if other websites work in your browsers. If you're reaching TMP for example.

However they could have blocked your IP much like the Editor does here to spammers on TMP.

btw- To renew a dynamic IP, type "winipcfg" in the run window for Win95 or 98, click on release and then renew. Or type "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew" in a command prompt window for Win2k or NT systems. Or you can shutdown PC, firewall router (if installed) and cable modem. Turn back on in reverse order, making sure each is finished diags before turning on the next

Thanks Lon, I didn't have to do that as it came up by itself hours later, but I'll keep that in mind for the future.

We can only hope.

did they charge your credit card before or after you got the error message?

It's New Wave, they charged as soon as you sat down at your computer. Of course it doesn't matter if you connected or not.
