Recently I scanned in 24 US v. German scenarios from the Battle Stations column from the ancient Wargamer's Digest magazine to use with Blitzkrieg Commander.

These scenarios were written for the WD's 'Series 78 Standard Units' with 1 stand = 1 platoon. Most of the scenarios are based around a reinforced battalion or similar sized task force.

The Series 78 units had some odd quirks, mostly because they were squidged to work with the available published rules at the time (Tractics and Angriff which were extremely detailed 1:1 rules). But the basic units are easy enough to fiddle with to make them more historical and/or suitable for whatever rules system.

After having scanned these in for home use, I then went scouting to see if there might be a good place on the web to upload them. A bit of google-fu rapidly uncovered a WD discussion group at Yahoo. I've uploaded the scenarios in 3 pdf's in the File section there in the Battle Stations folder:

Good link. I alway enjoyed the Battle Stations section of WD.

One thing to watch is the registration of the map vs. the map in the solution. A couple of them are "solved" because there is a shift in the map to the right or left.

I just added another pdf with the 2 British scenarios, both 1944. Same map, different forces.

Thanks very much! I play Command Decision, 4th edition, and the scenario unit scale fits quite well with that rules set. In fact the designer's notes of the first edition of CD indicates that the designer reviewed the Series 78 Standard Unit in the process of establishing for the CD unit TO&E's some 20 years ago.
Any chance of uploading the Russian front scenarios?
Again, this wealth of possible scenario information is much
appreciated.

I'm not planning on doing the East Front scenarios in the near future. There's nearly as many of them as the US ones. And we only have the minis here for playing Western Front….

So it's not a priority, since this is fairly time consuming to scan and organise. I may get around to it at some point if someone else doesn't do it in the meanwhile. Hopefully someone else who has the issues will feel inspired to contribute too. But some night if I don't feel like painting and get distracted, I might start scanning again.
