Hi,
Anybody know how to get a look at these. They're put togther by the League of Augsburg club. I've tried following their directions online, but it's been a month and no response to my emails, anything from the newletter or premission to join they're forum.
Thanks
Brennan

I thought that this was a boardgame? At least there's a set of rules by this name in the "Musket and Pike" series by GMT (I think).

I haven't heard about rules by this name for miniatures, but I'll be sure to check them out.

I managed to download the rules plus other related pdfs but that was at least 6 months ago. I read somewhere that the LoA plan to publish the rules in hard copy, via Caliver Books I think, so perhaps they no longer allow downloading.

I've had the same problem – this is a great period of military history but good rules, designed specifically for this period, are hard to come by.

Chaps,
leagueofaugsburg.com is my site. ULB is still available free. Best way to get it though is to register on the forum FIGHTING TALK. Put in as much detail about yourself as possible including e mail address and interests. I get about 60 SPAM BOT additions to the forum everyday. These are rigorously filtered out. If people don't put in key info like location and interests your forum application is rejected. We've had too much crap on there before so the filters are now extremely tight. FREE edition 4a will arrive by e mail.

ULB will be commercially available (probably in 50 pages of full colour) over the next 3-4 months.
V5 is a complete revision with additional rules, examples, scenarios, uniform guides and supplementary sections for GNW and 'tribal types' such as turks, moors and highlanders.
There is an active forum section on the period and the rules. All welcome (if you follow above instructions)

@WKeyser:
to unpack .rar you can use freeware programes, among them:
iceows.com
@Condottiere :
thks for the rules , I'll get to check if I find any troubles :)

Capatian29 Oct 2007 6:41 p.m. PST

Hi Barr7430,
I tried to register for fighting talk and I didn't hear anything back. I tried to log in after a week and I couldn't login. That was about a month ago. I'll register again tonight though and see what happens.

For the RAR files I got something off the Mac site. Since, well, I am using a Mac… But there were a couple of extraction shareware options listed on google, just search for .rar

paintingbird30 Oct 2007 2:21 p.m. PST

Condottiere,
as Barr7430 stated, it will take another 3 – 4 months.

Barr743030 Oct 2007 3:02 p.m. PST

Aha!! glad someone actually read what I posted!

The rules are actually ready. What I am waiting for is:

A printing cost quote
Reformatting discussions between my partner in this venture and the printer.

On completion of these activities the rules will be available directly from my site and through a selected number of trade outlets.
If anyone wants to keep it touch with this progress, log into
leagueofaugsburg.com from time to time… I communicate quite well for a wargamer!

Let me assure everyone that Barry is very good at answering questions on the FIGHTING TALK boards at the LoA website.
