Here is a photo of some Kryomek aliens with Genestealer arms (from Warhammer 40K) and greenstuff feet. I converted four figures (two figures have repeat photos to show off the feet). Out of the box these aliens have weapons in their hands but I wanted some without and found that the arms from Genestealers would be ideal. Just like the Genestealer, these models come with separate arms, which makes it very easy to mix and match. I drilled holes in the model's shoulder, and the arm, and pinned them for extra strength. Note the small photos imbedded at the right. They show an out of the box model and below one that someone has modified. The original feet are just little hooves. I wanted a large foot with claws so I sculpted them in epoxy putty. I also removed the horns and sanded the forehead smooth to make them look as Giger-esque as possible.

I like 'em. Who makes the kryomek figures?

Hmmm… interesting… I've got lots of these that I've yet to build… making them fit in better with my Tyrannids would be a good step to getting them on a table somewhere…
Thanks for the ideas!

There was a Kryomek USA but they seem to have gone under.

I like the arm swap but not so much the feet. Still a good idea. And I got a big box of those bugs too. Bet you could mix them up with alot of Nid bits.

I'm sure the feet will look much better once painted :-) What are Nids?

Nids = Tyranids?

What a brilliantly simple and effective idea! They look really good. I assume they will be slaughtering your Colonial Marines shown in the other thread?

The Owner of Kryomek Miniatures is still alive and kicking,I carry his entire Line. and have him listed on my web site ( Dragonhead Distributors). He attends most of the major HMGS Conventions. The name of the company is MSD Games / Kryomek USA . WWW kyomek.com in Niantic Conn. The product looks great and is very compatable with Games workshop 40k. Hope this info helps.

kyomek.com fails to load. Hence my thought that they had gone under. I will take a look at what you have. Thanks for the heads up!

Brilliant idea, the plastic arms. Never thought of it.
In Europe Scotia-Grendel carries the Kryomek line.

That someone was me! :D

The statement that they "fit well" with the Tyranids is a bit of wierd irony, since the Kryomek minis are more than 15 years old, and the GW Tyranid line has, over the course of four generations, been slowly evolving closer to the Kryomek look.

I've got some of the Kryomek Hellions – the little guys – that I have converted to Termagants (the little tyranids). The hellions are basically just mouths and feet – and I had all these left over spine fists from some termagants. So I drilled holes in their sides and gave them spinefists.

zgeist27, do you have photos of them?

Panzerfaust,

How many figures (troopers and aliens) will you have per side?

does anyone know how to get in touch with kryomekusa? I sent an email but have not heard anything yet? should I just email or fax my order to them? I tried calling the number they have listed on the site but it seems to be a fax machine.
