I'd like to know more about DUZI convention held in Germany. Are there historical manifacturers stands, historical display games?
Anyone who attended that can say more?

Thank you

Lorenzo

i was there last year. there are some dealers with fantasie and history figs manufactures (1300qm) and a warhamer tournament (120 person) and some other tables. and some diorams (gettesburg 72 qm with 23.000 figures 1/72)and a roman castel

Not really MANUFACTURERSī stands. Since most manufactures find the trip to germany (and, btw, Wesel, sorry to all Weselians, is waaay to the back of beyond) a bit too long to be worth the effort.

However, as Mr. Corzillius pointed out, thereīs quite a number of traders, with agreable offers, especially deals if buying larger quantities (about 10-20% off is usual).

The displays are usually very nice, and Iīm also very interested in seeing this Gettysburg thing... letīs see if it can top the NAMīs "Waterloo" diorama. Last year, there were at least some demo games (more of the smallish variety, both in scale and size), but I donīt know about participation efforts. And, of course, there are the WH Fantasy and the "Fearless" tournaments.

The painting contest also usually provides some beautiful specimens...

Oh, if it didnīt come out clear: Go there! Itīs a nice way to spend the day, but going for both days of the weekend might be a stretch. However, Iīll go again on saturday, and itīs well worth the small entrance fee, and, for me, itīs worth the voyage too.

Where is Wesel? How far from Vienna or Regensburg is it? I will be in Regensburg on the 11th and 12th.

Ohm... REGENSBURG...itīs just short of 600 kilometres. In NRW, while Regensburg is in Bavaria, IIRC.

A good possibility for us Dutch, it's only about an hour from Arnhem.

Probably it is expensive for British traders/manifacturers but worth for some Italian ones (same money, no ferry...).
How is the historical wargames scene in Germany?
If there is interest I can manage an Italian expedition to Germany with manifacturers like Mirliton, Aquilifer, Camelot, Venexia, Miniature Wars...
Are there any wargamers from the south, Bavaria?

If any are all invited to DADI.COM show near Milan on 22 and 23 November, free entrance, demonstration games, traders, painting contest, DBA and WAB competitions etc. More info at www.dadiepiombo.com/dadicom.html
