Came across this link in my wanderings. No great feelings about it but it seems to be the type of stuff CC likes so I've posted it. x42 |

Yep. Things must have looked a bit grim for single individuals, particularly after the Toba bottleneck (70k years ago). Not many choices, probably: TMP link CC |

dammit I read that thread title as were-neanderthals and was getting all excited for some prehistoric lycanthropy (although with hindsight the lovers part makes that a bit disturbing) |

If I remember correctly, they did further DNA testing and confirmed that the two groups that co-existed could not have produced offspring. The DNA strands were not compatable. |

"Those Neanderthal chicks must have been two-baggers!" LOL. I would not have gotten that if it had not been for my friendship with a Scottish buddy who uses that phrase every once in a while. CC |

Both. I'm sure that some humans fought some Neanderthals from time to time. Humans are notably aggressive, judging by history. I'm also certain that there were some kind of human-neanderthal sexual relations at some point. Again, judging by history and news reporting, there seems to be a demographically significant fraction of the male gender that will engage in sexual congress with almost anything – animals, vegetables, corpses, the list seems endless. If someone will steal pumpkins for this purpose, it seems extremely likely that somewhat different women would certainly be sought by someone. Hmm.. I wonder how much of that will make it through the filters, and/or offend everyone. -Kle. |
