This one was built by Toaster. There's a gallery here: link The instructions, so you can make one too, are here: link My city in use, to prove it works, is here: link I'm sure photos of Toaster's city in use will follow (hint, hint) |

Cool. Just proves Matakishi's building method is a good one if others can copy it so well, even spotted some of my street furniture paper models in there :) |

Great stuff a great mix of a sci-fi pulp cityscape haven't read on the website yet,but how long did it take to build. |

I like the LOTR Elven archer as a statue in the park, very nifty. Very nice city overall. David S. |

@FalloutLeader I don't know how long Toater took to build his but I spent about a month on mine. Painting took longer than building. |

Toaster and Matakishi, I love it! I plan to make a modular post-apocalyptic (post-Dalek, maybe) version of what you did, with lots of ruins and rubble. Inspiring as always fellas. CC |

Great stuff! Where did you get the elevated train cars? Thanks for showing the game, Clif |

Loved the humorous commentary. Drive-by killing of Davros
Priceless! The poor Doctor! What happened to his companion(s)?
Or is that "classified" according to U.N.I.T. rules, and the Queen's laws? You made me laugh out loud, several times. I thank you for that. Cheers! |

Hi Matakishi, You ROCK as always! Love your threads! Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Wonderful stuff, as always! I will have to go looking for this material, as it looks so much easier to work with than foamcore. One question though, where do you store all you projects? You build five times faster than I do. I have an entire basement that is getting very full of villages, towns and temples. I may have to contemplate a fire sale one of these days! Again, well done, and thanks for the instructions. |

@artslave, You have a basement? I have a box room. picture |

In artslave's law of stuff, constant number one is: Stuff expands to fill the available space. You manage to store an amazing amount per space compared to me. In my defense, I really don't get the whole, or even most of the basement. I do have room for a games table, which is always in conflict with artslave's second constant: Flat surfaces attract stuff. I'm pleased to see we use a similar workspace organizing plan. Well, maybe not a plan so much as an approach. |

I think I need to put some shelves up :) |

Thanks for the nice comments guys. FalloutLeader, same as Matakishi it took me a month of free time to make mine (which isn't a lot of free time with two kids). Germy, yes thats your street furniture, thanks for the great site. Once again thanks to Matakishi for his great plans. Robert |

As if we needed proof, Matakishi. More like we are all drooling to build cities of our own

Quick questions: How wide are you making the streets/avenues/boulevards in those city blocks? How many centimeters/inches? Thanks. CC TMP link |
Matakishi | 29 Jul 2007 3:57 a.m. PST |
My streets are 200mm wide. |

How is the durability of the buildings made from the cork board? |

Very Nice Toaster! Matakishi, I'm trying your "Alien Invasion" mixed with "Monster Island" in 6mm, as soon as I find 6mm aliens :) :)

How is the durability of the buildings made from the cork board? Very durable. I'm always surprised by this question, the cork tiles are very dense, they're designed to be walked on, and tear resistant. None of my cork buildings have suffered damaged, ever. |
Warrenss2 | 09 Sep 2007 4:06 p.m. PST |
Natrual cork tile is rare in the US of A. I've been wondering if Master Matakishi methods would work with poster board? |
