link link I'm thinking of getting a small box (not what this wholesaler stipulates as the minimum, of course) of the black ones. I plan to finish the top edges of my foamboard corridors, to give it that solid look and even the edges even more. Anyone ever tried that? If so, what were your results? Thanks. CC |

That sounds like a viable idea, but I've never tried it. They're pretty cheap, I know that much. Might be a little tricky to cut to odd lengths, I remember them being kind of brittle. |

I keep finding them everywhere except where I can get to them: link link Now, if only I could find them online at Office Depot or Office Max, I would be tickled pink. Can't seem to find them there though, unless they are really called something else. CC |

Have you looked in the $1 USD stores? |

Try searching for "Report Covers" link link |

They work great. Cut 'em with scissors. Kinda tricky finding a glue that works well, but most fit snug on 3/16th foamboard. |

They make cardstock too top heavy ( I tried) but should work well with foam core if wide enough. |

Apparently my first OfficeMax link doesn't work. Search for Item # 04040460 Or OfficeDepot Item 953307:
link These are first examples you may need to search yourself if you are looking for particular colors or quantities.

Thanks Jeff! I guess I'm trying to avoid having to purchase the covers themselves, as all I need is the plastic slides. Except for the wholesaler in my initial links, I can't find anyone in retail that sells them. CC |

EUREKA!!!!!! link 100 should be more than enough, but I'll take those. And they are black, just like I wanted them. Thanks everyone. CC PS. Smokeyroan, I take it you've used them successfully on foamboard (which is what I plan to use)? |

These are even cheaper: link link Product No. CLI34551 CC |

Before finishing with the plastic slides, I plan to put this on both sides of the foamboard (for greater effect): TMP link CC |

Home Depot and Lowes also have plastic weather stripping for screen doors and windows that comes in a similar shape, and is pretty darn cheap. |

YEs, I've used 'em on foamboard. If your doing modular corridor walls, they will hold two pieces nicely. I used 'em as edge liners only. |

Edge liners is what I was thinking of too (top, bottom, even sides). I'll give it a go. Thanks. CC |

Remember the glue caveate, stubborn stuff to glue, if your fixing botoms to a base permanently. |

Would rubber glue do the job? CC |
Smokey Roan | 22 May 2007 6:19 p.m. PST |
I don't know, Maybe, but wouldn't hold up well?? Gluing to the foambaord it clips around is easy, but for gluing that edge to base, maybe Gorilla Glue? I know super glue on that plastic makes a mess!!! |

Games Workshop seems to have discovered the many uses of what they call "Crochet Grid": link link link Yes, same Space Hulk Terrain article, from 3 different sites. One of them, I hope, stays working for future reference. CC TMP link |
